Materials and surfaces
What is the difference between Mylar and adhesive stencils?
Mylar is semi-translucent, smooth, solvent resistant, and more durable for reuse. Clean it regularly to reduce detail loss caused by dried paint. You can apply spray-on temporary adhesive to help hold it in place while painting some surfaces.
The green adhesive stencil material is opaque and flexible around curved surfaces. It comes with silicone release paper for storage and is reusable to a limited degree, depending on the surface and care used. Paint build-up reduces efficiency. Choose Mylar for a more durable reusable stencil.
What can I use them on?
Custom stencils are used to label machinery and tools, or brand packaging and materials. Adhesive material is flexible around curved surfaces. If you have a specific surface in mind, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Custom designs and fees
How do I request a custom design?
Before purchasing, message us with your design request and requirements, including your size and the date you need it by. We’ll discuss the options with you. Not all logos are suitable for stencilling, so some may need a bit of creative licence to get the right look.
Is there a design fee?
There may be a NZD $25 fee per custom design, depending on how much work is required to get it stencil ready.
Sizes
What sizes can I choose?
Sizes 1–13 are available. Dimensions refer to the outer edge of the stencil. Sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 are designed to fit in Ultra Pro Pocket Page Inserts.

When will my stencil be ready?

Care and storage
How should I care for my stencil?
Clean Mylar regularly to reduce detail loss caused by dried paint. Adhesive stencils are reusable to a limited degree; paint build-up reduces efficiency. Store adhesive stencils on their silicone release paper.
